Anambra Seals Church Over Ritual Allegations: A Government Crackdown

Anambra State is making headlines in February 2025 due to a series of controversial actions and announcements from the government. One of the most significant developments is the closure of a church linked to alleged fraudulent "Oke-ite" rituals. Additionally, authorities are investigating native doctors for similar activities.

However, the most intense public reaction has come from an alleged announcement by a security agency stating that women not wearing bras and panties would face arrest. While some reports have confirmed this directive, the government has officially denied issuing such orders, clarifying that they have not sanctioned any crackdown on indecent dressing.

Amidst these controversies, the state government is also focusing on infrastructure improvements. They have approved contracts for road construction and upgrades to schools, showcasing their commitment to development.

Governor Chukwuma Soludo is actively working to transform Anambra State, prioritizing security, law and order, human capital, and infrastructure development. The state's 2025 budget, titled "Changing Gears 2.0," is designed to promote sustainable growth and development.
